Registration & Travel

Registration for PhAI is now closed. Registration deadline was 10. Dec. 2023 (we need to know numbers for catering). Later registration may be possible but cannot be guaranteed.

Participation for everyone is only embodied and with registration.

The conference charges a participation fee to cover some of the location rental, catering (coffees/lunches/dinner), equipment, and invited speakers' costs. (The remainder of ca. 50% is covered by the PAIR Centre.) All work is voluntary or paid out of existing salaries.

The registration fee has 4 rates:

1a) student/unemployed & pays out of their own pocket = 50€

1b) student/unemployed & institution covers costs = 110€ 

2a) employed/retired & pays out of their own pocket = 90€ 

2b) employed/retired & institution covers costs = 160€ 

(The conference fees do not attract VAT/MWSt.)

Travel to Erlangen

Flights

• Closest airport is Nuremberg (NUE), with few international flights
• Easier to fly to nearby big international hubs Frankfurt or Munich and take the train (ca. 2 hours)

Train

• From any destination in Germany or nearby countries to Erlangen, often with a change in Nuremberg (16km South)
• Do consider coach services, also (online)

Locally

• Locations in town are easily reached by walking (train station to conference location is 700m)
• Otherwise, local transport is by public VGN bus. Tickets on the bus.
